A GAME FOR TWO
Checkers.
Play a friend, each on your own screen.
The moves go through your Collaboration Server.
Tap a piece, then the square it goes to.
- Moves: men move one square diagonally forward. A man that reaches the far row becomes a king.
- Capturing is compulsory: jump an enemy piece to the free square behind it, and keep jumping while you can. Any capturing line will do, not only the longest. Captured pieces leave the board when the move ends.
- Shashki (draughts): White starts. Men capture backwards too. Kings move any distance and may land on any free square behind the piece they take. A man reaching the far row mid-capture carries on capturing as a king.
- Checkers (American): Black starts. Men capture forwards only. Kings move one square, forwards or backwards. Reaching the far row ends the move.
- The end: a player with no move left loses. Resigning and agreed draws end the game too, and so do forty moves each with no capture and no man moving.
